This extension is built in a textured red facing brick, laid in stretcher bond. The gabled section has full-height glazing set between two brick piers. Beside it is a lower section with its own pitched roofs, a side door and white windows.

There are soldier courses over the side door and the side windows, and a course of brick on end under the window sills. Where the extension meets the house, the new brickwork stops at a straight vertical joint.
